Athletic Department News
The basketball game and track record board ceremony tonight has been postponed. The new date is January 27th.
The Spackenkill Track and Field program is holding a special unveiling of our new track and field record board.
The recognition program and record board unveiling will take place at half-time during the Varsity Girl's Basketball home game on January 27, 2017. The game starts at 5:45 PM and half-time will be at approximately 6:30 PM.
Prior to the ceremony, we invite all record holders to attend a dessert reception in the Spackenkill High School cafeteria at 5:30 PM. We plan to announce each record holder in attendance at halftime so we will take roll call during this reception.
The list of record holders is in the document below. If you are a track and field record holder and can attend the event please RSVP at 845-463-7824 or firstname.lastname@example.org

Below are the steps required in order to participate in SPRING sports:
- Sign-ups will take place Feb. 6th at the high school and Feb. 8th at the middle school.
- Obtain an Athletic Participation Form. Forms are available in the athletic office, nurse’s office, and on this webpage under forms. Have your parent/guardian complete both sides of the required form. Please return this form to the nurse's office as soon as possible so the school nurse has time to schedule a physical with the school physician.
- Your child may use their personal physician’s physical as long as it clearly states that they are cleared for athletic participation. Athletes should return these forms to the school nurse along with their parent permission form. The school medical director will review the physical and give final clearance. If no physical form is received, an examination by the school physician will be scheduled for the student. All physicals are valid for a 12-month period.
- After the Health Office has medically cleared your child, he/she will be added to the team roster and eligible to participate in athletics. ATHLETES WILL NOT BE PERMITTED TO ATTEND TRY-OUTS OR PRACTICES WITHOUT HEALTH OFFICE CLEARANCE.
