Dear Hagan School Families,
I hope this letter finds you and your families doing well and enjoying the summer. It is hard to believe that the beginning of September and the start of a new school year is here. Your children are undoubtedly beginning to feel excited, yet also a bit anxious about being in a new grade with a new teacher and different classmates. I am eager to have the classrooms and hallways busy and bustling once again. Please tell them we can’t wait to have them back!
As always, our custodians, summer staff, office staff, and I have been very busy preparing the building for our September opening, and we are ready to go. There are only a couple of staffing changes to announce: Mrs. Ymbras will be on a leave of absence for the first semester. Mrs. Sharon Dooley-Russo, a school nurse Hagan students and staff are very familiar with, will be filling this leave replacement.
I would like to extend a special welcome to our incoming 3rd grade students and parents from Nassau Elementary School. I am eager to welcome your children back to Hagan, and I look forward to working closely with you as the year progresses.
IMPORTANT REMINDER: Our lunch schedule will begin and run slightly later into the day this year, so please plan to send your child to school each day with a healthy snack.
Please be assured that Hagan is committed to continuing the fine tradition of excellence that has become synonymous with our school and district. We are mindful that this strong, nurturing culture of learning is the result of many years of dedication and hard work by faculty, staff, administrators, parents, and students, both past and present. I am grateful for the opportunity to continue being part of such a rich tradition of striving for excellence.
Please be sure to provide an email address when filling out the emergency card in your child’s folder. We would also ask that if you do not have an email address in School Messenger, that you provide one through your School Messenger account (information is provided on the website).
