David A. Adler:  Hagan Author's Day is April 6, 2011

Introducing David A. Adler!  He is the author of over 200 books for children.  He writes both fiction and non-fiction.  His most famous character is "Cam Jansen."  He has written many other mysteries, historical fiction novels, picture books and picture book biographies.

Kalli Dakos (2009-2010)

     Kalli Dakos is a writer that specializes in poetry.  She uses her background as a teacher to write poems about school.  She has also begun writing picture books.

Peter Catalanotto (2008-2009)

   Peter Catalanotto visited Hagan And Nassau Elementary schools on April 20 and 21, 2009.  He has illustrated    over 30 books for children.  Recently, he began writing a series of chapters books for early readers.

 Ann McGovern [2007 -2008]

Ann McGovern visited Nassau and Hagan Elementary Schools on April 3, 2008. She has written over 50 children's books! She writes stories and picture books, biographies, funny books, folk tales, poetry, question and answer books about life in long-ago American, animals, adventures in far-away places, books about the sea and its creatures, and a whole lot more. Charles R. Smith Jr. [2006 - 2007]

Author Charles R. Smith Jr. visited Hagan and Nassau Elementary schools and Todd Middle School in April 2007. Smith's books combine his love of reading, writing, sports, and photography. He is the author of 17 books for students in grades K-8. Many of his books are poetry about about the sports he enjoys most - basketball and baseball.
